Oceans & Biodiversity

From mauka to makai, the Oceans & Biodiversity working group is excited to serve Hawaii and Climate Future Forum as the first youth-led policy group focused on conservation across species and biomes. The Oceans & Biodiversity working group hopes to bridge the gap between ecology and legislative action through fostering partnerships and mentorships with scientific researchers and nonprofit organizations.

Policy Priorities:

- Conservation for reef restoration impacts and endemic species populations.
- Uphold Malama ʻāina values by presenting bills that protect aquatic and coastal life
- Bridge the community gap between science and legislative action
