Sustainable Infrastructure

We’re working to build a Hawai‘i that’s affordable, safe, and sustainable for everyone. Here’s how these policies help:

🏡 RES25-26 – Fast-Tracking Affordable Housing in ‘Aiea

This resolution removes red tape so the Hale O Līpoa affordable housing project can move forward faster. More homes = more families with a place to live! 🏠💙

🚦 RES25-001 – Safer Streets & Vision Zero Plan

Hawai‘i’s roads should be safe for everyone—drivers, bikers, and pedestrians! 🚲🚶‍♂️ This policy focuses on protecting city streets and supporting the Vision Zero Plan, which aims to eliminate traffic deaths.

☀️ BILL 040(24) – Easier Solar Energy & Energy-Efficient Projects

This bill allows self-certification for certain energy projects, making it easier to install solar storage and other green technology. 🌞🔋 Plus, it can help support affordable housing developments by cutting down costs.

🏗 BILL 031(24) – Funding for Affordable Housing Projects

Building affordable housing is expensive upfront, and this bill helps provide pre-construction financing to get more projects started sooner. More housing = lower costs for everyone! 🏠💰

🌴 BILL 019(24) – Addressing Hawai‘i’s Housing Crisis

Hawai‘i is losing residents fast—67,257 people left between 2021-2022, and home prices are 3x the national average. This bill pushes for stronger policies and city action to make sure affordable housing isn’t just an idea—it’s a priority. 🚨🏡

These policies help create a Hawai‘i where people can afford to live, move around safely, and embrace sustainable energy. Want to support these efforts? Get involved and speak up! 📢🌿
